“In the Philippines, we remain committed to fostering an environment that promotes collaboration and propels the momentum of our digital transformation,” Marcos said during the Singapore Financial Technology Festival 2023.

The chief executive mentioned GoDigital Pilipinas, a movement facilitated by the Private Sector Advisory Council seeking to promote universal access to digital services, as one of the many promising endeavors that the Philippines has initiated.

Numerous Public-Private Partnerships projects are also aimed at keeping pace with the rapidly evolving information and communications technology (ICT) landscape, President Marcos said.

“The Philippines is likewise cementing its position as a hub for digital innovation and entrepreneurship, with a dynamic startup scene that holds immense promise,” he said.

“We invite you to look at these startups and explore potential partnerships to ensure our mutual growth and shared prosperity.”

Marcos further recognized the growing presence of digital banking and emphasized the importance of digital cashflow so that Filipinos can build a digital profile.

“The Philippines also recognizes the growing presence of digital banking and the importance of inclusive finance in our financial landscape, so that no one will be left behind in our pursuit of progress and prosperity,” the President said.
