With the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), Coins.ph discussed their Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, which are designed to prevent fraud within the app. Additionally, Coins.ph showcased its strong cybersecurity initiatives, including real-time anti-fraud monitoring tools, and machine learning algorithms that keep customer funds safe. Coins.ph also emphasized its close coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and their action points on matters related to the issue of seized registered SIM cards and other pertinent cybersecurity concerns.

Open Finance Conference: Leading the open finance revolution

Coins.ph actively participated in the Open Finance Conference held at Shangri-La The Fort, organized by the Fintech Philippines Association through the Open Finance Committee. The conference focused on driving financial inclusion and fostering Open Finance in the country.

VIP speakers from the government, including SEC Commissioner Kelvin Lester Lee and DICT Undersecretary David Almirol, were present. Coins.ph had the privilege of being one of the panelists alongside UnoBank Co-Founder and CEO, Manish Bhai and Head of Business Development of PayMongo, Laurice Lupisan, moderated by Mark Gorriceta to discuss “The Evolving Expectations Facing DigiBanks and Fintechs in 2023 and Beyond.” The panel delved into emerging trends, consumer expectations, and the future landscape of the fintech industry.
