Mimecast opens office in Singapore to continue expansion in Southeast Asia

The Philippines, 7 April 2022 – Email security and cyber resilience company Mimecast Limited (NASDAQ: MIME), has today announced it is continuing its expansion in the Asia Pacific (APAC) by establishing an office in Singapore as a regional hub for focus on South-East Asia. The company has appointed Stanley Hsu as its Regional Vice President, to help improve the cybersecurity posture of organizations and supply chains, in this expansion in the APAC region. For Mimecast, South-East Asia is a focused strategic growth market. Organizations in this region are experiencing a rapid digital transformation, and as cybercrime becomes a growing concern for governments and businesses alike, cybersecurity needs to be a core component in their transformation journeys.

Globe intensifies drive vs piracy as PH posts highest content piracy rate in Asia

Globe has further intensified its drive against illegal streaming and downloading of content as the Philippines, together with Vietnam and Malaysia, again topped the list of Asian countries with the highest piracy rates.

Piracy has been a lingering problem around the world, posing a danger to the viability of businesses and the livelihood of content creators, and also exposing users to malware and other online threats.

“The ill-effects of online piracy cannot be underestimated. Globe continues to ramp up initiatives to mitigate, if not fully stop piracy, and make a positive societal impact. We also work with coalitions and partners like the Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) and the IPOPHL to help address these challenges,” said Anton Bonifacio, Globe Chief Information Security Officer.
