Andrew Campbell (aka Zyori), the Program Lead for Esports & Content Creators at Sky Mavis, will be joining the BitPinas Webcast to discuss e-sports, NFT gaming, and the upcoming Battles V3 (dubbed “Origin”) of the category-defining blockchain game, Axie Infinity, this coming March 3rd at 10 PM (UTC+8). The webcast will be live via Facebook and Twitter.
This year the Sky Mavis team has designed a second round of grants:
- 60 events have been greenlit so far and have been organized into ongoing leagues, global tournaments, and regional tournaments.
- The calendar extends through June 2022
- All events (except the first 2) have open qualifiers for anyone to participate in
- Events will have multi-lingual coverage in: English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Tagalog
Also, Sky Mavis will be releasing Battles V3 (Axie Infinity: Origin), a massive battle upgrade that will make Axie faster, more fun, and more competitive.
In 2020, the cryptocurrency adoption through play-to-earn gaming has accelerated in emerging markets around the world especially in the Philippines. Axie Infinity being the leading NFT game is still keeping the standards higher as it reached $4 billion in lifetime NFT sales as well as the highly anticipated launch of Axie Infinity: Origin.
In the webcast, Zyori is set to discuss how he sees the future of e-sports and NFT gaming, and how Axie Origin will help define this crossover. A question and answer portion with the host and viewers will also happen during the latter part of the webcast.
Viewers will be able to expect an engaging and in depth discussion about Axie Infinity’s current community status and upcoming plans for the future.
Zyori graduated B.S. in Entrepreneurship at Rowan University and has been a staple in the global e-sports community since 2010, having established Moonduck Studios & Agency and casted, organized, or hosted many Tier 1 tournaments around highly popular e-sports games like StarCraft 2, Heroes of Newerth, and Dota 2.
At Sky Mavis, Zyori is the overall in-charge of the company’s e-sports program and content creation initiative, which will be discussed in the webcast episode.
